Probably time for an updated review! My last review was at their old location. Their current location was designed beautifully inside and out. PCH's cocktails are just as beautifully crafted. At $19 a drink, they are on par with other high quality cocktail bars, but truly unique flavors set them apart.

I passed by PCH in the last two weeks with the intention of going in for the holiday cocktails menu and to enjoy their famous holiday lights and decorations - I came around between 5-5:30pm on a weekday and was shocked to find the line extend down the block to the street corner. My friend and I opted to go to a more low-key bar without a cover charge and a long wait line, which was disappointing on both counts. I've gone into PCH one before that on a weekday around 5pm (and not around the holidays) in the past year, and I will say the drinks were of high quality and were all quite good. I've been obsessed with clarified milk cocktails and PCH definitely won me over with their Chocolate Milk Wasted (whisky-based cocktail). I would definitely go to PCH again, just not for the holidays.

I would rate the Christmas experience here a literal 1000000/10 if I could. Where do I start? If you need to kickstart your holiday spirit, please go here. It's decked out, head to toe, in Christmas. Christmas came alive in that bar. It's beautiful, magical, and just so fun! If this wasn't enough, the drinks are so good and so fun/festive. Seriously, so happy to have experienced this!

You know that one neighbor that always tries to one up others in their Christmas lights and displays? Pacific Cocktail Haven (PCH) is that neighbor...hella extra, in a good way. Kickin' myself for waiting soooo long to visit. This year was my first visit to the 8th Annual Miracle at PCH and they take "festive" to the next level - floor to ceiling decorations with ornament arch entrance, christmas trees, wreaths, twinkling lights, lighted snowman + gift boxes, ornaments, wrapping paper decor, fog machine, snow show every 20 minutes, Christmas songs playing and more. Every corner of the bar is covered in decorations and took the staff 12+ hours a day for 5 days to decorate. Clips: https://tinyurl.com/te4uu4st https://tinyurl.com/3b7amzk7 https://tinyurl.com/bwuumzsr Can't expect anything less from award winning PCH that's been named one of the Top 100 Bars in the World and North America World's 50 Best Bars. What To Know: * The pop-up concept: Miracle started in 2014 in NYC and partners with various bars globally to serve holiday cocktails in a festive vibe. * Pop-up runs through 12/31 every year. * $10 cover per person that goes to charity (this year, the $ is going to a dog charity). Cash or Venmo only. * Walk-in only. * It gets crowded so come before 3 pm to snag a seat. * Rezzies available for 6-12 people on Tock for the outdoor patio only. There's a drink minimum (e.g. $250 min for 6-9 people) + 22% service charge. * If you can snag a table/spot, there's servers who will take your order. * Outdoor patio is winterized and covered from the elements. * Dog-friendly BUT inside is too crowded and may be overly cramped + loud/sensory overload for dogs. M E N U Miracle holiday themed cocktails: $19 and shots: $8. Their regular menu of Asian-inspired cocktails are $18. Only some regular menu items are available during their holiday pop-up. Inquire with staff on availability. D R I N K S * Leeward Negroni: Sipsmith VJOP Gin w/ coconut washed campari, pandan cordial, bitters (Regular menu -$18): https://tinyurl.com/4m9y7smk First, how cute is this little furry koala wearing a "miracle" vest hugging the pandan leaf?! And, you get to keep this clip on hugger. Spirit forward with an herbaceous bitterness mellowed out by the coconut/vanilla-y pandan. Served over a custom big ice cube etched with PCH. To nitpick, it was a wee bit sweet for me because I'm usually the straight up shot, neat, or on a rock kinda person. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it. * Christmapolitan: Vodka w/ elderflower, dry vermouth, spiced cranberry sauce, lime, rosemary, absinthe mist ($19 x3) Not my drink but I had a sip and was really impressed at how balanced the holiday cosmo was - boozy with fruity and tart notes a kiss of warming spice. * Sipsmith VJOP Gin, shaken w/ twist ($18? x2) At 57.7% abv, I was surprised at how easy it was to sip with prominent juniper notes and a citrusy finish. I appreciate the little touches like serving it in a cold frosty glassware. This may be my new fav gin...if I could find it other bars. S E R V I C E Positive vibes all around from the staff. Our server, Sara was awesome and considering how busy it was, she was always there when we needed her for another round. Loved that she was wearing a custom sweater of her pommy, Simba. Prompt drink service. A M B I A N C E More lounge-y than bar. Preferred the outdoor seating (not as loud). P A R K I N G Do not park at the left side of Sutter between 4-6 pm. Your car will be towed. Nearest garage: 450 Sutter ($10/hour). Overall, fun holiday pop-up with solid cocktails and great customer service. It would have been too chaotic for me if we didn't come early to snag a table outside tho. Next up, Sippin' Santa at their sister bar: Kona's, named after the owner's dog! =)

Came with a friend for their Christmas pop-up and it was the cutest holiday-themed bar ever! At 7:30pm on a Thursday we did have to wait 30 mins to get in, but we were served hot chocolate while in line which was nice. There's a $10 cover during the pop-up season, but once we got inside I could see what it was for -- the decorations were absolutely amazing, and the walls inside were completely wrapped with wrapping paper and there was a fake snow blower! I got the Rudolph's Replacement and it came in this Christmas dinosaur mug which was the cutest thing ever. I also loved the drink itself, with the coffee liqueur, cream, and orange flavor, especially because it wasn't too strong for me. Would definitely recommend coming around the holidays (although be prepared for a wait and a lot of people), and would like to come back outside of the holiday season!

Came here for their miracle Christmas pop up for the Christmas vibes, this bar goes all out in decorating the entire place wall to wall, and all over the ceiling in Christmas decor. There's Christmas lights all over, presents lodged in random corners, and a tree as well. The outside patio looks extremely nice with the hanging snowflake lights definitely worth a visit. Would highly recommend coming during the off hours as it gets extremely packed and there's a line outside as well. Went on a random Tuesday at 8pm and the wait to get inside was ~30 mins and on a Fri night it was about ~45 mins. There's also a cover of $10 at the door (Venmo accepted). Got the Christmasaurus and koalalala and they were pretty good. Service can get hectic as a lot of people are in the bar chatting and taking space around the bar area but it isn't too bad as you can admire the decorations. Back hallway also has this photo area where you can take photos as well!

PCH all dressed up for Christmas is great! If you don't have a reservation (which you can make through Tock) then you have to wait in line for a bit in the cold and pay a $10 cover charge to get in. We came on a Tuesday night around 6pm and waited maybe 15 minutes. Wanted to beat the weekend rush as we've been before and waited longer to get in. The outdoor lounge area and indoors was packed. The seats/tables/bar area are all first come first serve so people are usually waiting around standing looking for somewhere to sit or having their drink. The good thing is that they have servers coming around taking your order and bringing your drinks. They have a wide selection of Christmas cocktails. If you get a drink that comes in a Xmas mug, you need to give them your ID in exchange and you get it back once you return the mug. We had a total of 6 drinks last night! All were really good and had a good amount of alcohol!

Went during the December holiday time. Drinks were tasty and you could even buy the decorated mugs. $10 cover on their Friday opening time. They require holding onto your ID because they don't want you to steal their mugs that are for sale. Busy and crowded when we got in after waiting 20 minutes in line. Ambiance was great and everything was decorated very well. Occasional snow machine would fire every 30 or so minutes. Drinks were hard to order due to how crowded the bar was. I do not think this is worth coming back, but I do recommend checking it out during this holiday season. I don't know what this bar is like during the rest of the year.

Pacific cocktail haven is a great spot for good vibes and themed ambiance. They always have cute decor for the holidays and if you are lucky enough to snag a sofa seating spot, it can be a blast. When I went, the bar was quite crowded but it was overall still nice inside and we got seated in the hallway near the bathrooms. Not ideal but still okay vibes. They had a large selection of drinks and mocktails which was nice to see and the drinks we got were quite tasty. PCH is a solid spot to visit on a night out!
